As a confident and reliable young woman, my instincts have always been to help others if I can. In the past when my grandad was very ill, I helped him with eating and kept him company when I visited. I'd like to think that even though it didn't help him get better, it made him happier as he struggled with cancer. I now realise that helping elderly people is something I would benefit a lot from.

Hi, I'm Amy and I am 16 years old. I currently help out an elderly woman of 80 years old by taking her dog for a walk on weekday evenings, however, I also do little jobs for her such as shopping, making her a cup of tea, filling up jugs, and some odd jobs as well. If her dog is staying with a friend then I will still go round and sit with her to keep her company in the evenings and have a cup of tea with her!

Having worked part time as unit manager in a nursing home to working on an acute medical unit. I have many years experience with home care. I believe in looking after not only the client but next of kin. I provide personal care if needed from simple help to bathing/shower. I can drive and have use of a car.
