Carmen, private lessons languages - BS2 Bristol

¡Hola!
I am Carmen Moreno, a native Spanish speaker who is doing an Erasmus exchange with the University of Bristol. I am currently studying my second year of the Degree of Translation and Interpreting (English and French). At the same time, I am volunteering as a Spanish Teacher Assistant at Colston's Girls' School where I am getting some work experience on teaching and working with children.
I have been close to languages since I started my Secondary Bilingual Education (Spanish/English). Then, I studied the Baccalaureate of Humanities (Spanish version of Post 16 Study) because I was really keen on Art, Philosophy, Classical Greek and Latin as well as English and French. I got the third highest grade of the Baccalaureate in my promotion.
One of the reason that I believe I would be well suited for teaching is that I gather the fitting personality to do it. I am a really enthusiastic and hardworking person who loves trying her best of everything and helping people trying their best too. I consider myself as a responsible, mature, organised and reliable person as well as friendly and kind.
I have also been giving support classes in Spain helping children and teenagers with English, French, Spanish and Latin subjects. I try to explain the concepts clarifying them with outlines and some practical exercises. I can also easily adapt to my student’s needs for filling gaps in knowledge.
In addition, I'm teaching children from 8 to 15 years old at my volunteer job. Teaching different age groups help me to develop my tutoring ability. I consider myself as a really approachable person who is willing to understand each child personality and way of thinking. This approach allows me to unlock children’s potential. Moreover, I have great summarizing and organising skills which, as I consider, are essential in teaching. I think also that imagination is necessary in education so I like to implement them as much as I can with students.
