I am an 18 year old music student studying at St. Mary's Music School, Edinburgh as a boarder. I am studying to be a professional pianist and accompanist, and need a break from my rather stressful life!
Being a boarder has meant I haven't been able to see my pets between holidays; my home plays host to 8 animals - 1 dog, Yan (a border collie, who is very high maintenance but has some serious character!) 1 guinea pig, a hamster, a fish and 4 chickens, (also rather difficult sometimes!)
I used to help my Mum who worked as a freelance shepherd on a farm nearby to my home, so I have always been surrounded by animals, and I have found as I am growing up that I will have to spend my life with animals in order to be as happy as possible!
