Hello!

My name is Cristina Buda and I am a full time master's student at the University of Essex, studying Organised Crime, Terrorism and Security. I am 23 years old and am from Romania.

The main reason why I want to work as an animal carer is because I absolutely love animals and I was always surrounded by animals growing up.

My grandparents used to own chickens, pigs and sheep, as well as cats and dogs and rabbits and my favourite thing was to feed them, pet them and play with them. Every morning I would go check if the chicken had laid eggs and would always feed them as well.

I recently took care of my aunt's dog, Tim, for the week she was away and we had developed such an amazing bond that when it was time for me to leave we both were both crying. I would always take him out for walks, play around, pet him, thought him how to fetch and do tricks for treats.

Last year I owned what I believed to be a stray cat. She would always come to my room and meow to be let in, thus I took her in and started to care for her as she was my own. Unfortunately, one day after she went out and came back I noticed a note at her neck which read that she already had an owner. I was heart broken, however I did send her back to her rightful owners.

I believe I would make a great animal carer as I am patient, fun, energetic, firm when needed.
