Sophie, dog walking - ME12 Minster

Hi, I'm Sophie. I'm 18 years old (don't let that put you off- I have plenty of animal experience and am very hardworking!) and have three dogs. Two of them were born by my original jack russell into a litter of five- a very noisy and demanding litter but a beautiful one nonetheless.

I brought the pups up and managed to sell three of them when they were about twelve weeks old, but we couldn't resist keeping two of the rascals!
I am currently training all three dogs as they can be a little mad when in public (barking at leaves, cyclists, other dogs...) but we're getting there!
We currently only manage a few walks a week, as to get the full benefit of the training they need to be walked separately which takes time.

I have also had six guinea pigs in the past who all lived to a grand old age, and we also had a hampster called Humphrey.
We have fish too, and I've had experience with gerbils and rabbits.

Experience:
When I left school I helped out at our local riding stables, mucking out horses, exercising them, feeding etc. It was great fun and I really enjoy working with bigger animals.
I have also had experience grooming and trimming dogs for my neighbour's dogs as well as my own- she's already booked her next appointment!

A while back my other neighbour asked me to look after her dogs for a day, and she was so impressed that she then asked me to let them out of the house for a run every lunchtime to save her leaving work. She paid me and that became my first part time job. Unfortunately she is having building work done and is not working for the time being, so I had to give that job up!
She also asked me on a couple of occasions to sleep in her house while they went away, and to look after the dogs instead of sending them to kennels. That was also great fun, but more of a repsonsibility too.

I can offer to host smaller animals in my home but my dogs are not very sociable and would not appreciate another dog staying on their territory (they're typical terriers!). If you wish to leave your smaller animals with me, I can keep them separate to the dogs and have plenty of garden space if guniea pigs/rabbits need caring for.
