I would like to be considered as a caregiver, whether it be running errands, cleaning, ironing, cooking etc. My compassionate, reliable and trustworthy nature combined with my Level 3 Health and Social Care, 6 months of working in a day centre, and many years of experience of looking after and helping elderly family members, with one having a mental illness, this educational and hands-on experience in personal care makes me a perfect candidate for a care/help giver. I believe I also have the potential to become a vital member of a family unit.
My high level of concentration and excellent caring skills enable me to help the elderly to maintain mobility through light work and walking. I also have a demonstrated ability to assist cognitive functioning through various methods such as conversation, memory drills and books. I can work around specific requirements depending on what type of care or help you are looking for, such as: grocery shopping for the household, plan and prepare nutritious meals, help with activities of daily living and personal care such as grooming, feeding, and toileting.
I am enthusiastic about future positions and would love to have the opportunity to work with elderly people. I have a place at University next year to study Mental Health Nursing at Salford, as I would love to pursue a career within mental health problems in the elderly such as Dementia. I hope this fact displays to you the type of hard-working, independent, trustworthy yet also easy-going type of young woman I am. I am always keen to learn new things, and I am willing to go on training courses to further my skills if these ever arise. Needless to say, I would still be looking for occasional work during my studies.
I look forward to being contacted in order to discuss positions and relate my skills with your requirements.
Thank you for your time and consideration
