I have previously worked in Barchester care home in Bath.
My duties entitled me to:Look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the clients using a person centred approach, Responsibilities were providing care and support to clients with a wide range of needs, illness and disabilities. Assisting clients getting up in the morning, going to bed at night, getting dress and personal grooming, using manual handling equipment safely and correctly as well as maintaining good communication and develop effective working relationships with staff and clients.
I am a university student which studies the development of individuals, this course has enabled me to gain a deeper understanding into the services I can provide to maintain the knowledge and mental well-being of the client.
