My names Amy, I am 19 years old and I have experience working with elderly people who are both able bodied and disabled. I did work experience in Southport at Vitalise, which is a holiday home for elderly people as well as disabled adults. I was working around 15 hours a day, without breaks, and I would help feed, change and bed bath the residents at the hotel. My report back from the company was very positive and they said that I was one of the best volunteers there.

I have studied health and social care at college for two years and came out with 3 A*'s. Within this course I learnt a lot about working with elderly people and I have minor training in manual handling.

I would love to work in health and social care as I have a passion for helping those in need and giving back to people who require help. I really enjoy working with elderly people as I enjoy hearing stories from them and I enjoy helping them.

My Auntie Agnes passed away recently, but before her passing I helped her a lot with housework, cooking and occasional changing of her clothes when she needed me to. We had a great relationship and I really enjoyed caring for her.
