Morgan, home help in Bristol BS3

Hello,

My name is Morgan, I have over 8 years experience of working with older people in community centres, care homes and looking after my grandparents.

I have recently moved to Bristol (I teach A Level Textiles at Weston College 3 days per week), I am DBS cleared and I have a PGCE (with QTS) and I am looking for additional work that uses my experience and passion for working with people from all walks of life.

For 3 years I ran 'Inside Art' creative class for older residents in Islington for Cubitt gallery and I had a residency in a care home in Dalston, London where I worked with residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, stroke survivors and older residents with mental health, alcohol and drug dependency issues. One resident I worked with had survived a Stroke and went from never getting out of bed to taking part in performances and exhibitions that I put on in the care home.

In Slovenia I ran a community arts centre with 3 classes per week for older residents where I responded to the interests of the groups by teaching ceramics, printmaking, painting and holding a reading and creative writing interest group.

I am very organised and can multi-task very well. I am deeply interested in people and their stories and I have a great sense of humour. I am happy to do odd jobs and enjoy spending time together.
