My grandparents passed a few ears ago and I wish I had been able to spend more time with them, keep them company, and engage with them, however I was too young at the time to fully understand how important having someone there with you is. My mother is a social care worker for the elderly, and visiting on fundraising days, I love engaging in conversation with the residents. Caring for people has always been a passion for me, and something I would love to pursue a career in as it is rewarding and the bond you create with people is so special and cherished, especially with those who do not see family or friends much anymore. I am young, however I am devoted to helping and caring for people, I can give general company, I can cook, clean and do house chores. I can collect shopping and help with general administration needs. I have experience with working with the public, including elderly individuals, cash handling, safety and hygiene when handling uncooked foods and cooking food. I also previously left a job in which I dealt with pensioners sensitive information and communicated with them via the phone or via letters.
