I am a 60 year old female who had worked as a civil servant for, 27 years semi retiring 3.5 , years ago. I am a caring and compassionate person who has experience of spending time caring for my husband who was disabled and sadly after 12 years of nursing him he died. I have also looked after my mother who had a stroke and needed assistance in all areas of her daily routine we would also go out for coffee which is something she had a lot of pleasure from.

I learnt to be patient and respectful of the situation she found herself in after her stroke. Sometimes we would just sit and chat. She loved to have company. I feel it is important that one feels safe and secure. Even just a short ride in the car gave her much pleasure. I enjoyed her company and being , 80 when she first became Ill she had a lot of stories to tell and lots of experience to share.
