Hi! My name is shanice? Currently 18 working as a mental health worker in a rehabilitation unit. From completing previous work in a adult day centre and care home, I have developed a strong passion for working with adults with special needs and disablities. I understand the different needs for different adults and how not all of them at the same stage physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. From studying health and social care I understand policies and procedures for example safeguarding. I would like to be able to use all my knowledge learnt from studying and experience into practice then develop the skills I need to be a support worker. From working in previous mental health homes and in house care, I have developed an even more strong passion for delivering outstanding care and one on one attention to patients. Giving them emtional physical social and intellectual support. The needs of the patients always come first. Also developing a strong relationship with the patient so they know they can trust you. Communcation is key so the patients mnows what's happening at all times and can have an input on what they want.
