i have experience of assisting my grandmother who had had both her legs amputated above the knee. i would visit her on a weekly basis to clean her home and give my uncle who was her full time carer some respite this could be up to three times a week. i would sit with her and watch television or talk to her and keep her company in general. i would also make food and beverages, assist her in getting into and out of bed or her chair and into her wheelchair. i have also experienced giving her overnight care.
