I am a mature lady who has brought up a family and worked within the care sector for most of my life. I am a trained Counsellor and have previously worked voluntarily for Mind in this role. I have worked as a carer for both elderly people and for people with a disability within their own homes. My husband and I are Shared Lives carers and have people with learning disabilities live within our home as part of our family. We have also been Foster Carers for 8 years. I am DBS checked. My passion is helping people as it gives me great satisfaction. I am a very caring, friendly and approachable person and a good listener. I am organised yet able to be flexible in order to meet the needs of others. I am looking for some part time work and with people who may need a listening ear or some light household duties.
