Hi I'm Amy, I am a student and I have just recently finished my a levels, I am looking for some work over summer before I go to university. Although I haven't had valid experience of care work, I did recently look after my elederly grandmother who's recently passed away in doing things such as going out on trips, helping her in and out of the bath, doing her shopping and other things, I do also have a grandma who has vascular dementia who I often help out when needed. With my other grandmother I did often spend time with her in the carehome speaking to her and her new friends and doing things such as painting their nails and singing with them (voluntarily), I did infact really enjoy this as it made me feel as though I was actually doing something worth while. Care isn't the final route I am wanting to go into, I am interested in being a journalist/ performer however I have always been complimented on my kind nature and I do enjoy helping others. I feel as though I am able to over come any dilemma and work with any situation to the best of my ability.
