Who I help?
Anyone from 8 upwards, with a desire to learn. Age is no barrier.
What I do.
If there are any aspects of using your computer that you are not sure of, whether it's how to handle emails, use search engines, or even have a video chat with a family member, I can show you how to do it.I can also help you save money on household utility bills, car insurance, etc., by showing you how to use comparison sites.
Where I do it?
In the comfort of your own home, on your own computer, not in some classroom with a device you're not familiar with.
When I do it?
Monday to Friday, from 9.30 a.m. until early evening.
Why I do it?
Having worked for over 20 years in Small and Large IT businesses, then spending the last 7 years working on my own, running an online shopping business, I realised two things, one is that I like to work for myself, the other is that I miss day to day contact with people.
For several years, I've helped family and friends (and even friends of friends) with their computer issues, so it seemed natural to do this full time, hence why I started Tech Teacher.
How I do it?
I usually have a brief telephone conversation to find out what your current setup is (what type of computer you have, desktop, tablet, etc). I then find out what things you need help with and their priority. I will then arrange a convenient time to visit you, where I will then go through a step by step explanation of how to do whatever it is you want help with. I will go at your pace, and I will make sure you have notes that you can refer back to (we all forgot things!!)
