HI, my name is Isobel
I am a fun friendly girl with a love for English. Many people think that English is a boring subject full of Grammar and complicated meanings but I don't believe in this! I love to make English fun and exciting for all ages, I currently teach three children together as a class, all of which hated English before they started, but with just one lesson I managed to get to surprise themselves and their parents with the amount of wonderful work they did! now I've been teaching them for about two months and they are already doing work well ahead of their age range and are well exceeding my expectations for them. The activities I use in my lessons are fun and enjoyable, with the children I teach at the moment we are going through the book "how to train your dragon" and doing activities alongside it such as designing our own dragons, getting them to write paragraphs using the different writing styles displayed in the book such as similes and metaphors, and now they are each planning for their next project, writing their own guide on how train a dragon!
Ever since primary school I have wanted to teach English and have grown to love the subject and I can easily weave other subjects into my lessons, such as History, Art and even Geography. I was home schooled from the age of 14 (so I had two years in secondary school) and I found that I missed lessons in English so I made up my mind to put myself out there as a teacher for either those who are home-schooled too, or who need extra help with this particular subject. I can supply you with references from previous employers, the parents of the children I teach and many character references from people who have known me from a young age so you can get a full view of the type of person I am!
