I have worked as a full time mum for about 21 years. I studied a part-time honours degree in Spanish/French/English while my children were growing up and found that this helped my children greatly as I was able to help my children with their homework right through secondary school (including A level). I also have a Cambridge CELTA qualification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). I am used to being around young people and have always enjoyed helping my own children.
Although I considered doing a Secondary School teaching qualification, I was unable to do this as my husband died when my youngest child was 9 and this child also had a medical condition so it would have been impossible for me to return to any kind of work.
I am now available to work and am reasonably flexible with regard to hours. I have my own car and a full driving license.

My rates include travel. I could charge a bit less if the job is local. I feel that it is necessary to charge this rate as my own personal time is needed in order to plan lessons ahead and to correct homework.
