I am a mature lady who is qualified in learning disabilities and have much experience of elderly care.
I am able to give medication, assist with personal care prepare meals and act as a companion to the elderly.
I have worked in home care previously and my last job (March 2015-October 2015) was in a nursing home caring for elderly adults.
I see myself as understanding reliable and caring and am able to show empathy towards individuals. I understand the need for dignity and preservation of individual rights and for the person to be treated as an individual (person-centred).
I am non-judgemental and respect individual beliefs and ideas. I am a good timekeeper and can work well under my own initiative or as part of a team.
I am a qualified nurse and have experience of caring for the elderly and have a degree in Nursing (Learning Disabilities).
