Personal statement
I would say that I am very motivated. I am a high achiever, very outgoing and extremely reliable. I have great people skills so I would be able to interact with customers as well as employees. I am quite a perfectionist, which is something I see as a positive in any job as it means that everything will always be done to the best of my ability. I adjust to new situations quickly and work well with others and under my own initiative. I am hardworking and committed and though I am young, myself and many others feel that I am very mature.
Experience:
I have been involved with some volunteer work; running stalls. This includes managing profit, selling items, interacting with customers and working as a team. Moreover I have also been involved in costume making and styling along with makeup (including special effects). Furthermore, I have often cleaned other people’s houses as it gives me a great sense of achievement. Along with this I am great with children, I am like a second mother to my younger brother and I have been looking after him for years.
Achievements and abilities:
Currently I am studying for my GCSE’s at Thomas Bennett. I am predicted A-A* in all the subjects, which include: English, Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, History, Art, Spanish and ICT. At present I am upholding grades of C’s and B’s across the board.
I am a member of the school council, a fundraising group and GAMA (gifted and more able). Formerly I was a school prefect and a playground leader. This entails being friendly with people both younger and older than myself to make sure that they are okay at break times and lunch times during the school day. Also if there was any problem we would have to try and come up with a way to solve it so that the person could be as happy as possible.
I have accumulated many achievements over the years. Including a tophy for netball, a bronze medal, for what my school call the mob run (this is a two and a half mile run competing against all of the girls in our school), a medal for Teens Brighton Marathon, and two medals for achievements in English as well as one in Drama. I have also acquired innumerable certificates and medals for involvement in sporting events, fundraisers, extracurricular courses, as well as for just being an all-round good student.
Interests:
In school I take part in many extracurricular activities. I am a valued part of my schools drama club, we regularly put on plays and in the past I have been cast as many main roles like Sandy in our school production of ‘Grease’ and Annie in our production of ‘Annie’. Not only do I enjoy acting but I have a passion for all things creative; art, architecture, photography, dance, music, singing etc. Also, I enjoy a range of sporting activities such as: Netball, Stool ball, Basketball, Rounders, Athletics and Rugby.
