Kathryn, private lessons tutoring / homework help - SO17 Portswood

Hello, my name is Kate and I am a 19 year old, 2nd year geography student studying at the University of Southampton. Originally I am from Watford which is where I have gained 3 1/2 years of tutoring experience

I received high Alevels including A Maths, B Geography, B History as well as 12 GCSE all A*-C (A in Maths, English and Science).

Whilst volunteering at both Arnett Hills Primary School and Malvern Way Primary School for 2 years I also worked as a maths and science tutor for students aged 14-16 (2014-2016). I tutored one boy during a difficult time in his school career helping him go from a predicted D grade in Maths and C in Science to receiving high A grades in both subjects. More recently I tutored another boy who was struggling in the higher paper of Maths but successfully achieved an A grade in summer 2017.

I have also worked for 3 holiday seasons as an arts and crafts instructor at Barracudas activity day camp (2016-2017). Within this I had to plan and execute 6 lesson a day delivery fun and educational sessions. I also have an in date DBS check.

I am friendly, kind and fun and have a real passion for educating children and teenagers. With use of a car, I am fully flexible and so can meet all your needs.
