Hi! I'm a student at the University of Kent, studying English and American Literature and Creative Writing. I received A stars at a GCE level for both English language, and Enlish Literature. I also have an International Baccalaureatte Diploma, wherr I studied French as a second language.
Although I haven't taught children professionally yet, I have done so more often for cousins, nephews, and nieces. The youngest child I have taught by myself was 10 years old, and the oldest, 16 years old. I have also mentored younger students at my secondary school where I was Head Girl.
I have found that one of the hardest jobs while attempting to have children remember and understand information, is keeping them entertained and intrigued, but I pride myself on managing to keep them from getting bored, especially mentally active children, as I like turning things into an enjoyable activity, to fuel their creativity, rather than turning learning into a dull experience that one only does because one must.
I am aware of the fact that leaving ones children with a stranger is completely nerve wracking, especially if you're away, and would be willing to sit down with the parents/guardians for a personal introduction, or so whatever necessary to make them feel at ease.
I am willing to work early or late, on short notice.
