Carla, private tutor languages - M60 Manchester

I am an Italian girl who in 2016 gave English classes to a group of adults. The aim was to make them feel comfortable in certain/daily situations, such as asking for help in a foreign country, at the airport, with taxi driver etc.
One group was lower intermediate so the lessons were aimed to help them understand and improve their grammar knowledge. Another group was upper intermediate, it was interesting and engaging talking with them about current topics.
I also taught the basics to one woman who wanted to understand the basics when traveling, and I started from scratch with a man who was interested in learning another language.
I also helped a student to improve his writing and speaking skills in order to pass the IELTS test.
I attended an international school in Italy and later on I studied languages in high school, therefore I could understand the challenges that these adults were facing and I was able to answer to their questions. At university I decided to carry on just with English and Spanish, abandoning the German language because I considered it tough as for my field of study: translation and interpretation.
