I am a qualified music teacher, singer-songwriter and guitarist with over 30 years experience as a performing musician.
I have worked with all ages, experience levels and intelligences in schools, community groups, colleges of higher and further education, vulnerable groups, home-education.
I have developed and facilitated my own songwriting course and vocal groups in the community.
I can teach 1:1 and small groups, dependent on the student dynamic.
My specialist areas are songwriting, vocals, guitar and confidence building.
I also play ukulele, keyboard and djembe so these are potential options that I can teach at beginners-intermediate level if desired.
My style of teaching is student-lead and I aim to guide and support each student as they develop musicality and confidence whilst attending to their unique and particular interests.
I do not teach graded music as I find that most students become disinterested and are more inclined to directing their own learning with popular music.
