I am an 18 year old currently studying Human Resource Management and Psychology at the University of Portsmouth - I am a grade 7 pianist, with a grade 5 level theory and have been playing the piano for almost 13 years. I absolutely love the piano and it is something I have always been passionate about, although I unfortunately was prevented from finishing my grade 8, I discovered teaching and I loved it. I really enjoy working through pieces with new students and giving them the gift of learning the piano, which was truly the best gift ever given to me. I have had 6 students, ageing from 4 years to 17 years old, each student was completely different in the way that they learned, which took me by surprise at first but the more I taught them, the more I became accustomed to their strengths and weaknesses and how they needed me to be with them when it came to reading the music, how they played it and the styles in which they excelled at.
I did my grades through the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) and found it to be a supportive and structured way to see my improvement on the piano, however this is not for everybody. I am willing to teach regardless of whether you would like to be qualified or not and I am willing to teach any age, at any level.
I hope you take me into consideration.
Thankyou, I hope to hear from you soon.
