Caeli, private tutor of history in Aberdeen

I am a History graduate from the University of Aberdeen and am currently pursuing a PhD in Celtic and Anglo-Saxon Studies. Although I have no official experience in tutoring I have worked as a Graduate Assitant, where I helped support history classes of about 20 students. I also had an open door policy in my office in the boarding house. Where I helped students with History, Classics, English and Philosophy successfully helping prepare them for their A-levels in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere away from the anxieties and stresses of formal lessons. I have also been working as a Houseparent in Summer Schools for the last 4 years looking after large groups of international students ages 6-17 and helping them with their English Language.

Ensuring that people have a fun, interested and genuinely good experience of education is something I greatly believe in. As such, I strongly believe that when given the opportunity lessons should be tailored specifically to the individual through interesting and practical activities. I am aware that everyone learns in different ways and wishes to achieve different goals and I am happy to fit around what the students wants and needs.
