My name is Thomas Martinez and I am coming to Madrid to work as an English teacher. I have previous experience working as an English Language Teaching Assistant in Santiago, Chile from 2016 to 2017. I am a native English speaker and have excellent written and spoken skills. Although I was a teaching assistant in Chile I had sole charge of my classes and was responsible for lesson planning. To help students progress and grow confident with their writing, reading, listening and speaking skills, I focused on creating a comfortable and participatory environment. Grammar rules and vocabulary were explored and applied through stimulating activities, exercises and games that engaged the students in their learning. I am currently passing my TEFL. I am also a native French speaker and am offering private tutorials in French as well as English. In these lessons individuals can practice their language skills, brush up on their grammar and vocabulary, engage in conversation, and learn about French Culture.
