I have worked as a support worker for around 7 years now and recently started working with older people. I have a diploma at level 2 in health and social care and also recently completed a care certificate through my new agency (who hold this certification). I have a lot of professional experience and understand Duty of Care and legislation and am very knowledgeable in the correct and most compassionate care.
Beyond this I have cared for my own grandmother who has been in and out of hospital for some years and has recently been taken into a rehab away from home where she is safest while we find her a nice place to live. I think this experience is very valuable. I know what it's like to be at this stage of life and am living it with my nan. I know all about the worries and the care plans and the pace of which people come and go and do this gives me a unique perspective of how to speak to and treat someone going through this.
I am kind, and thoughtful, extremely patient, and empathetic. I also love a laugh and a chat about anything and everything. Try me! I know a little bit about a lot of things, and my love of the past might surprise you!

Rates are negotiable, but I'd say if you just want a chat we can come to an arrangement, and if you want personal care this will be taken into account also. For example, for me to pop round to help you take a bath and get dressed for an hour in the morning, that could be £15 but if I'm just popping round to say hello and have a brew we can do that for the base rate. Always open to discussion.
