As a confident and reliable young woman, my instincts have always been to help others if I can. In the past when my grandad was very ill, I helped him with eating and kept him company when I visited. I'd like to think that even though it didn't help him get better, it made him happier as he struggled with cancer. I now realise that helping elderly people is something I would benefit a lot from.
