Rebecca, senior home help - EH3 Edinburgh

Hello, my name is Rebecca and I am a student studying BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

I am a very kind hearted individual who is very passionate about working in a care role. I have experience working with elderly people through university placements where I have worked in care home settings and with adults with additional needs such as learning disabilities. I am very considerate and know that different people like different things, and I am very capable of working with the adult to determine the role best suited to them.

I have a manual handling qualification so am capable of helping those with mobility difficulties and as speech and language therapy also focuses on eating and drinking difficulties I have basic training and awareness of what different individuals may need when it comes to meal times.

I am very patient and work well with people of all ages. I consider myself organised and responsible but also fun and energetic, a balance I feel is important for working with the adult population!
