Caitlin, senior home help : Godmanchester

I am Caitlin and I am attending Hinchingbrooke School. I like watching movies and take an interest in hair and beauty. I also enjoy looking after my animals – a one year old rescue cat from wood green. I am fully trained as a first aider and have taken part in an NCS course
I do work experience once a week at a local nursery called ‘Tree Tots Day Nursery’ which is based at Hinchingbrooke hospital. I am responsible for many things like supervising play time and organising an activity for the children to do. I also am able to read to a group of children. I assist the children to put their coats and shoes on before they play outside. I help the children ready for their afternoon nap. I have learnt many ways to reinforce positive behaviour and when I should praise that behaviour. I have been trained in how to deal with situations in which the child has become distressed. Working with young children has improved my patience and expanded my knowledge of child development.
