My maternal grandmother suffered from a stroke in 2000, leaving her wheelchair bound until she sadly passed on in 2008. As I grew up I helped my auntie, her main carer, to perform these daily tasks for her and make sure she was comfortable. My Gran enjoyed having my company and I helped her to be able to eat her meals, made her cups of tea and generally helped to take care of her.
