I am very good at caring for elderly people having had first hand experience in my family. I find it easy to form positive relationships with elderly people and children too. I think it’s important to listen and to put myself in their position, are they comfortable? Are they warm? Are they happy? If not, what can I do to help. Sometimes an elderly person may just want some company, a cup of tea, someone to talk to, a cuddle. These things might seem small but they go a long way to help a lonely person feel good. I might be the only person they have seen all day. It costs nothing to be pleasant, kind and caring. I also clean to a high standard and I enjoy housework, ironing and cooking, to an extent. I’m not a brilliant cook but I can cook basic meals and I am a good baker. I bake with my granddaughters, it’s great fun and the results are usually a success. You get out of life what you put into it, the same goes for your job.
