Rachel, senior home help : Kent

Hello my names Rachel, I'm 21 and 3rd-year university student at Chichester. I've always enjoyed socializing and talking to the elderly and If I hadn't begun a career in childcare, I probably would have gone into the care and companionship of the elderly. I often feel that sometimes people forget about the older generations and it absolutely breaks my heart knowing that despite the fact that my grandparents have family and friends they can visit, others do not. My Grandma always told me that just one conversation on a bus or in a shop or even on the street could completely change a personal perspective on the day. I feel that it's almost our duty to ensure that no elderly person is left to feel lonely.

Outside of my degree, I enjoy many different hobbies such as painting, swimming, reading, shopping, cooking, spending time with friends and family, as well as lots more. Unfortunately, due to pre-planned arrangements, there are several dates in August that I am unable to work. These are:
4th, 5th, and 6th (My Nan's 80th birthday)
10th until 20th (Family Holiday)
25th, 26th, and 27th (Family Do)

All in all, I am an enthusiastic, hardworking, down to earth, cheerful individual who is dedicated to providing the utmost care and respect to the older generation
