Hi, my name is Nicole and I'm 20 years old. I currently live in Glasgow.

I have had experience being around elderly people in many situations. Apart from my grandparents who I spend a lot of time with, I have also befriended an elderly, blind woman. My main purpose was to provide company for her and to help with with everyday tasks that she finds difficult sue to being blind.

I have also volunteered with a charity called the Food Train. My role was to deliver the elderly people's shopping. I would collect their shopping list from them, usually in their home. The other volunteers would then shop for the items, and I was then involved with the delivering of the shopping into the elderly people's homes. This service was used by many vulnerable elderly people that were often very frail and lonely and sometimes we would stay a little to speak to their carers and/or speak to them themselves to give them company.
