QCCC is a day Care center for people over the age of 65 who have additional support needs, including those with a diagnosis of dementia, stroke or other long-term health conditions One of the most important aspects of day care is that it allows people to socialise with their peers. Queensferry Care promotes a person centred approach to delivering services with day care members being offered transport, lunch, assistance with personal care and a wide range of activities that are designed to meet the individual’s needs. Activities are agreed with our day care members through regular group meetings as well as through their individual support plans. Activities combine mental, physical and social stimulation.
These include:
Socialising
Reminiscence
Quizzes
Word Games
Exercise
Various trips & outings.
My Job as Volunteer was to help with all of the above task, and help assist the clients with anything they need.

Accomplishments
When i was at QCCC they put me through my Dementia awareness and also am on the PVG scheme.
