Katrina, senior home help - SP4 Durrington

Hello :)

My name is Katrina and I am a caring and gentle young woman with a passion for helping other people.
I have a lot of experience in assisting all ages of people, from toddlers up to adults aged 80+. My experience includes volunteering in a nursing home, helping an older aged relative get dressed and feeding them, and helping a deaf man communicate using a whiteboard.

Through my experiences, I have been able to learn about the importance of working alone and working as part of a team. I am able to comfortably work in both scenarios, and have practice in this, such as completing assessments, discussing personal issues, using a step-by-step process in motivational interviewing, running an art group, assisting in personal training, team meetings, group discussions and putting other people’s voices forward in debates.
