Casey, senior home help - TN9 Tonbridge

Hi my name is Casey and I have just finished year 11 at Bennett memorial. I hope to join back for 6th form in September and study Geography, Media and English Language.

When I was a little younger I had a grandfather who suffered and eventually died from Parkinson's. He lived in a caring home in Bournemouth I used to visit him every time I went down for hours on end. I loved it ! yes It was difficult but I saw the positives and I just wanted to make him happy.

However some of the times he was sleeping so I visited the other people in the home . I was however young and used to tell them princess stories. They had a games night every Thursday which my sister and I used to go to. We played all sorts of games and included everyone .

There was this one lady who I used to read poems to and tell her all about myself about school what I wanted in the future. old people just love the company and they are interested in you. I learnt quickly the appropriate things to do / say.

I honestly loved my time there but when he died it didn't seem right to go back.

i think and others would agree that I am a bubbly confident person that just wants to make other people happy.

I also do have patience even though it isn’t a strong skill however I would much like to improve.
