My name is Christine and I am 24 years old. I am an international student from Germany and I am doing my teaching degree in languages (German/English).
I work since the age of 17 and had always to do with children for example I worked in several secondary schools in Germany as a homework assistant. My latest job was concerned with primary school pupils. In this job I spent a lot of time with children whose parents work for the whole day. After finishing homework, we did a lot of activities, such as cooking, baking, sports, playing games, reading books.
I am a very disciplined, creative, structured and consequent person and I know very well how to teach children. I am pretty sure I would do a great job as a language teacher because I always have my preparations. So I always know what I am doing and why these specific excercises are good for the students.
Children need attention, communication and support. Especially when it comes to learning a new language, it is very important to be communicative and to motivate the learner.
My relation to all the parents I worked together with was based on regular communication. We always sit together and reflect on the lessons I gave them.
What most of the parents liked about my work is that I always took notes if anything striking had happened during the lesson. This cooperation helped me to build a stable and good relation to them and to the children.
I am absolutely flexible in time and willing to teach children in all different age groups.
