About me:
I am French, and grew up and attended University in Paris. In 2008 I moved to England to work at the University of Nottingham as a French teacher; I then obtained the PGCE and have been teaching French, Spanish and History in a local secondary school (Toot Hill in Bingham) for 5 years. I live in Beeston, Nottingham with my English husband and our son, and enjoy reading, music and films as well as sharing the wonders of French cuisine with my family!

Teaching experience:
I have taught French and Spanish up to A-Level for the past 5 years at Toot Hill School (Bingham), and have also taught French at the University of Nottingham for a year, concentrating on speaking skills and grammar.
I have also tutored students for A-Level in history, as well as teaching the Ancient History GCSE course at Toot Hill School for two years.
I have a wealth of experience working with children, teenagers and adults alike (my husband, who is English, spoke no French when we met, but now speaks fluently). I tutored privately in France for three years before moving to England, teaching English as a foreign language and have also worked as a translator.

My approach to teaching:
Children/GCSE/A level: I have achieved great success with my private students, both as additional lessons to existing school teaching and also entirely privately where there school doesn't offer the particular subject (one student recently achieved an A in GCSE Spanish after only 9 months' tuition). Private lessons are an excellent way to boost grades and I am in an excellent position to help you/your child achieve an A, being a qualified secondary school teacher myself.
University students: I have experience tutoring French BA students across all 3/4 years (Uni. Nottingham) and will help you achieve fluency; lessons must be conducted entirely in French however!
Adult learners: I have also achieved great success with my adult students; one recently was among the 6% students in the country to achieve an A* at A-level French. I welcome students from all backgrounds with all levels of experience and ability, and fully encourage all to take up language learning again, even after many years' absence!
