Ruth, teacher music in Chipping sodbury

Hi there!

My name is Ruth and I am a Songwriting student at the British Institute of Modern Music in Bristol.

I have experience teaching musical theatre at REDDS stage school where I lead singing lessons and prepared students for examinations.

I can play the guitar (electric and acoustic), piano, ukulele, basic drums, bass guitar and the cornet.

My qualifications:
Singing (grade 5 at distinction)
Cornet (grade 2 at merit)
Music Performance (level 3 at merit)
GCSE Music (grade B)
Musical Theatre (grade 3 at distinction)

I am confident in teaching music theory to an intermediate level for children aged 4-16 and can specify my teaching to suit different syllabuses and school requirements. I would be interested to try teaching songwriting techniques and feel I have a sufficient amount of knowledge to do so.

I am flexible and can adapt my teaching to the preferences of the student i.e. styles and genre, instrument, theoretical/ practical teaching techniques, performance teaching.
