I was born in Barcelona, Spain and I just finished a Teaching University degree.
I volunteered in St Paul’s Preschool in Winchester in 2017 where I also worked as an Au Pair and nanny with different families.
I completed my student placements at Escola La Maquinista and at Sagrat Cor de Sarrià school.
Alongside the active work in the classroom, my main duties included developing lesson plans, learning activities and unit plans. Alongside this, I collaborated within the school community, motivated, and encouraged pupils, as well as providing ongoing support to the students.
I achieved an Early Years Certificate of Higher Education in 2014 and since 2009 I have been working as a swimming teacher and in a summer camp. Therefore, I have experience with children from the ages of 6 months up to 15 years.
I am very empathetic, hardworking, dynamic, reliable, resilient, and highly organised. I have a genuine passion for teaching.
During my placements and as a swimming teacher I had to observe and evaluate children’s development. I provided differentiated learning activities and I planned explicit activities
adapted to each children’s necessities and rhythms according to the observations I had made previously.
For instance, I created some games that helped developing the
children’s logical and mathematical thinking and I planned and conducted a literacy unit plan based on teaching English phonics to Spanish students.
Likewise, I have been working with children for more than eight years and I know how important is to create an environment in which they can feel confident and achieve their maximum development.
