I have tutored for one year, while supporting students in a high school parents requested I help their children in primary school. I carried out a trial session and this worked well. The subjects i supported with were maths, Science and English.
The level taught was primary, key stage 2.
I built effective rapport and would often mix subjects for instance English comprehension with History so that the learner could gain a different level of understanding and combining it with something relevant, unique and to their interest.
