My name is Chloe and I’m currently studying A levels. I am very focused on my studies, and go the extra length to make sure my grade is the best it can be. I believe in the idea that you don’t have to get A*’s in order to achieve the best, but beating your aspirational target is the best achievement.
I enjoy learning, and have always helped others do so. From a young age (in primary school), I was a mentor, I helped children read, spell and complete sums. In secondary school, I helped my friends (which in turn helped me) when revising for GCSE’s.
I think my strongest subject area is history and English, as I am good at critical writing, and I understand how to pick apart a text and judge evidence. However, in my GCSEs I received decent grades from all of my subjects. I came out with a grade B/6 in English Lit, English Lang , maths, science (core and additional), history, geography, and a grade C in art, Spanish and further maths. In school I pushed myself to take more GCSE options than other students.
The way I would approach teaching a child/teenager, is as if I was the one who needed a little help. First I would find out how they learn, whether they’re a kinetic learner or a visual learner, and then I would structure the knowledge based around their learner style. I would be patient, as I know what its like to not understand something, but I would push the pupil to achieve their best.
