I'm Sophie and I am currently on a gap year before beginning postgraduate study at the University of Oxford. I love reading, writing poetry, and always try to learn something new every day - in my opinion you can never stop learning!
I have tutored a few students at college level, helping them attain better grades after they failed exams or coursework. My teaching style is quite relaxed and fun; I like to build my students up and work on their confidence so they feel they can achieve good grades through dedication and perseverance. It's important to be enthusiastic but patient, and understand every student is different. I have also au paired for a family in Australia, where I helped their young daughters with reading, spelling, writing, simple maths and geography.
I am well organised and have a great attention to detail, so you can be assured that each lesson I have with your child will be well thought out and tailored specifically to them, allowing them to develop their knowledge and become more confident in their own abilities.
