Hi, I'm India. I am 22 and am currently living in Cambridge while I study at ARU. I am doing a degree in Education and Childcare Studies and hope to be a teacher later on in life. I would like to be a teacher in a school focusing on Special Educational Needs and therapies based around these; especially animal therapy.
I grew up in the countryside of Luxembourg, surrounded by cows and horses. My mother is allergic to most pets so we didn't hace many. I did however have a black and white cat called Pantoufle, 2 hamsters, Sparky and Biever, and a rabbit called Snowy. I was also a keen horse rider from the age 8 up until around 15, where I had to stop due to injury but I still regularly visit the stables. I grew up visiting family and friends of the family and most of them have pets so whenever I needing to be found, simply look for the animals and that is where I would be. I also have a slightly elderly family friend who has a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who needs walking fairly often and it is difficult for my friend due to age and bad joints. Whenever I visit I try and take the excited puppy for a long walk so she is slightly easier to manage and a shorter walk before bed.
During my gap year, I worked in a nursery which had pet rabbits and a weekly clean-out rota. During my breaks I would spend time with some of the children, showing them how to be gentle and care for rabbits while also allowing them to do their own thing.

I am fairly flexible for my rates. If it is a matter of sit in and take care of the animal, I will charge slightly more and it also depends on how many animals are in need of care. If you have a lot of cages that will need cleaning out or if there are multiple dogs that need walking it will be slightly more but not by much. It essentially all depends on how much care is needed and for how many animals.
