I am a consistent, well balanced, young woman with a responsible attitude. I am very trustworthy and can be relied upon at all times, giving my best whatever the circumstance. I love to learn and develop myself and enjoy to encourage others to do what they love; or at least make the most of opportunities to discover what this may be. I am often informed of my ‘mature stance’ and encouraged for my dedication and I do try to apply these attitudes and conviction to everything I do and for these reasons, I am sure I would be an asset within your team.
I have a warm, friendly, outgoing personality and have good rapport building skills. I learned to hone this social tool, whilst volunteering my time assisting with youth work.
Hobbies and interests:
I have many hobbies and interests and am presently a member of many different dance and production companies; an honour only achieved through dedication and persistence. I have been very privileged to perform alongside professionals and have played many different leading roles in the performances I have undertaken. These have pre-dominantly been designed to encourage young people to participate in activities and performing arts. I’ve practiced and worked hard at my dancing and my performing talents since the age of 6 and I have played an active role in many productions/events/presentations/educational provisions such as the White Rock Hastings pantomime (7 years now). Also, I have been a part of many and varied festivals and am a member of Hastleons/Blodds/The new thing theatre and perform myself in many shows/musicals. I have also danced for the infamous and brilliant Vera Lynn and spent many more hours dedicating myself to study.
I am aware of how fortunate I have been in having participated in these many hobbies, especially in terms of the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years. I am now eager to share my knowledge/experience and have a strong desire to help others to perform and gain confidence, hopefully realising their full potential. I have taught young people in secondary schools within a dance workshop setting and I also assisted learning at Rye College alongside a West end star who played the main role in Chicago; this again broadened my knowledge/skills-base and helped me have a larger perspective and rounded view on life. I also provided sessions in the performing arts department at Rye College, teaching and helping students for their singing exams. This was in addition to relevant administrative work which I also undertook.
I am fortunate that I have had my hobbies which have helped me learn so much that I am able now to share my knowledge and to help others to perform to their best ability. I have been lucky enough to of had the opportunity to teach kids in secondary schools, as a dance workshop and I also taught at Rye College alongside a West end star who played the main role in Chicago, this has widened my knowledge and helped me have a broad and rounded view on life. I also have done work experience at Rye College in the performing arts department teaching and helping students for their singing exams alongside office work.
I like to lead a healthy and organised lifestyle and participate in regular exercise, keeping myself active and fit. I enjoy Kick-boxing and due to this have also participated in many ‘walks for life’ and travel with the club to competitions which has enabled me to learn about the world of sport and the dedication involved. As you will have gathered, I like to keep busy and have a strong desire to help people. I’ve been brought up in a hardworking environment and appreciate the rewards of working hard. My father owns different businesses and this too has taught me a lot.
I have also been very fortunate inasmuch as I have been able to travel and I have journeyed to Thailand, where I stayed for a month and this enhanced my knowledge around different cultures and lifestyles. I mention this, as it was a huge ‘eye opener’ and I also learnt some Thai along the way!
