My name is Francesca and I offer tutoring lessons to foreign speakers of English or Spanish.
In August I returned from Chile where I have a years experience working as an English teacher in a primary school and tutoring university students and professionals in my spare time.
I am fluent in Spanish and have been tutoring lessons in it since I got back, although I also tutored high school students before I left to go to South America.
In total, including various tutoring programmes I was involved with in College, I have over 3 years experience and my methods range from textbook grammar and vocab exercises to innovative and fun games and activities that assist language learning, I will adapt my methods to each individual's learning style and particular needs.
I teach listening, speaking, reading and writing but in my lessons I would usually put an emphasis on speaking practice as I believe it is the most effective way of learning a language.
I have extremely high GCSE qualifications, including an A* in English and Spanish and French, and French and Spanish at AS and A level. I am currently studying Spanish and Portuguese at Newcastle University and I am reaching quite a capable level of Portuguese also.
I have experience in tutoring other non-language subjects like maths, science, and art at a secondary level and I am happy to provide my services in those subject areas too if required.
