Jessie, carer in Banbury OX16
For 18 months I worked as a support worker for an adult with an acquired brain injury living in their own home. The most obvious disabilities the service user had was short term memory loss and they could be slow and unsteady while walking due to tunnel vision. I took the service user out for many trips as well as helping them to do everyday jobs around the home and self care. I always risk assess to ensure the safety of those in my care.
