I would like this job because I love being around old people, ever since I was a child I’ve always wanted to work in a care home, and I want to make a step further, I used to look after my grandmother before she passed and my next door neighbor, with washing, eating, cleaning etc! I have worked in care for 10years, originally caring for my disabled mother then onto 2 care companies in home and domiciliary I was very popular with my old company synergy in Blackpool

I am a 19 year old student currently studying social work locally. I believe that I could offer older adults company and assisting/empowering to complete daily tasks such as cleaning and shopping. I have a calming personality and enjoy the company of others, previously having grandparents with dementia this has allowed me to gain the skill of patience and being aware of when support is needed and also where possible to encourage independency.
